Distance Counseling can be an interesting alternative to traditional office appointments. Individuals seek out distance counseling for many different reasons. Due to a busy lifestyle it might be difficult for you to meet with a therapist during normal business hours. Distance counseling is flexible and able to accommodate your schedule. Where you live you might not have access to experienced clinicians specialized in anxiety management. Finally you might not feel comfortable discussing personal issues face to face in an office setting or you might not be able to leave your home. Distance counseling offers a comfortable and convenient option to interact with an experienced clinician in a private and familiar setting.

We are dedicated to helping individuals suffering from anxiety, worry, obsessions and repetitive behaviors. We are specialized in the treatment of anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), OCD spectrum disorders, and other related disorders, including Agoraphobia, Clinical Perfectionism, Generalized Anxiety Disorder (excessive and uncontrollable worry), Illness Anxiety Disorder (Hypochondriasis), Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety (Fear of Public Speaking, Performance Anxiety), Specific Phobias (Fear of Flying), Test Anxiety, and Trichotillomania (Hairpulling).
What We Offer
We have extensive experience in working with adults, adolescents, and teens. Using an evidence based approach we practice Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure/Response Prevention (ERP) and exposure therapy. These treatments are well-researched, known to be highly effective, and first-line recommended treatments for anxiety. They set the standard of care for anxiety and stress related disorders and are recommended by the National Institute of Health. Additionally we draw from techniques rooted in Mindfulness, and Acceptance, Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Positive Psychology (PP).
We are committed to creating a warm, safe, and hopeful therapeutic environment. We understand how important it is for a client and therapist to collaboratively develop a treatment plan. Treatment is uniquely tailored to you and your identified goals. It is our philosophy and encourage our patients to access their own strengths to develop new skills in managing their anxiety.

Limitations of Distance Counseling
It is important that you understand and agree to the limitations of Distance Counseling. Even though counseling services I provide online or on the phone are just like what I would provide in a practice setting, they are not intended to take place of face-to face therapy, assessment or treatment. Some issues including mental health emergencies are not appropriate for distance counseling. If you have suicidal thoughts seek immediate help.
