Karin Schroeder-Nothaft, M.S., NCC, LCPC, LMHC is the founder and owner of the Surmount Center for Cognitive Behavioral Health. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Nationally Certified Counselor and Licensed Mental Health Counselor. She specializes in Cognitive Behavior Therapy for anxiety disorders and related disorders. She has successfully worked with many clients of all age with anxiety, worry, and stress related issues.
She has trained in nationally renowned facilities for anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), OCD spectrum disorders and other related disorders. Karin is committed to staying fully informed of latest research and therapy methods. She presented and led workshops at regional, national, and international conferences including annual conferences of Anxiety and Depression Association of America, ADAA.
She is specialized in evidence based treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), OCD spectrum disorders, anxiety disorders (including Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Agoraphobia, Separation Anxiety, Social Anxiety and Clinical Perfectionism) and related disorders in adults, adolescents, and children.
Karin has a special interest in the principles of mindfulness and positive psychology and their application for anxiety disorders and stress management.
